3- Underestimating your Talents

It can feel unnatural to talk boldly about your achievements. Wouldn’t that seem like bragging? In a sense, yes, but less so when it comes to applying for a job. That’s because employers realize that the better the accomplishments you have, the more that you will benefit their company.

Use that knowledge to advantage by talking about your skills, strengths, and education with pride and confidence. Otherwise, you might just be selling yourself short of a role you would have been perfect for like before. To do this well, take some time to truly reflect and understand yourself. Identify your greatest strengths and jot down some ideas. Connect them to your job and use what you’ve learned to finetune your resume and cover letter by emphasizing those points.

After you pass the first stage, mention all of these achievements and strengths in your interview with pride. You’ve worked so hard to get here, so show off with pride! However, it’s always important to stay humble.
