8- You’re Way Too Unqualified

On the other hand, if you’re simply too unqualified for the level of expectation or experience that the job post requires, that may be a good reason why you weren’t hired. The most obvious solution is to gain the necessary skills and training to qualify. However, if you approach the hiring manager in the right way, you could still possibly be considered.

Sit down for a good hour or two to read the job description as much as possible and match and list as many skills and experiences as you can that are mentioned into your application, cover letter, and interview. Embellish and elaborate on any education, volunteering, or internship experiences that are remotely related to the role. As always, clearly state how excited you are about the position and emphasize how the role can help you grow personally and professionally.
